Cartoon Network UK Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs The Series Coming Soon

Cartoon Network UK is now airing promos for a new animated series coming soon to the channel – Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs: The Series. The brand new show is a prequel to the first Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs movie and follows a young Flint Lockwood before he invented the FLDSMDFR (Flint Lockwood Diatonic Super Mutating Dynamic Food Replicator) machine which caused the weird but wonderful event of food falling from the sky in Swallow Falls. Flint’s an aspiring inventor and he’s full of ideas, but unfortunately his inventions often malfunction, leading to funny incidents around the town.

The new show features many characters from the movie franchise, including Sam Sparks; Tim – Flint’s Dad; Flint’s lab assistant – Steve the monkey, Earl, the school teacher; Manny, the head of the school’s audiovisual department; Brent, the local teenage celebrity and captain of the mascot team; and Mayor Shelbourne.

Cartoon Network UK hasn’t announced a broadcast date yet, but as the channel is now airing “coming soon” promos, there’s the likelihood that the new show will airing in the first half of autumn. But ahead of the show’s premiere, Cartoon Network UK’s website now has a Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs: The Series section, at the moment there’s two videos and a new game – Infinite Steve. In the game, Flint has used his cloning machine to clone Steve the monkey, stack as many Steves as safely as you can, but if your tower of Steves collapses, it’s game over.
